Cherie Hershman - Owner/stylist
Cherie, a Washington state Certified Women's Owned Business owner, has traveled to clients' homes, providing a full array of salon and spa services for more than 20 years now. Established in 2000, “Cuts on Wheels” a mobile hair salon began the journey. A stylist and entrepreneur, she realized her dream of creating a place for everyone to experience nurturing of the spirit, suitably called, Essence, a chic coiffure.
Lindsay Parkhurst - Stylist
Lindsay enjoys helping every client feel their best. She has a passion for "the big picture" and finds working with every aspect of her client’s hair the most satisfying. Lindsay completed her ATA in Cosmetology at Everett Community College. She would love to return for more training. She specializes in creative coloring, but enjoys doing it all. Lindsay loves helping her clients feel beautiful and gets a rush when the client is happy. Outside of work, Lindsay coaches with a youth orchestra. She enjoys watching movies, and enjoys spending time with her husband Cameron and their two cats Smokey and Bah.
Whitney Rambel - Stylist
Whitney Rambel is a licensed cosmetologist. She received her training at Evergreen Beauty College, formerly Bellevue Beauty School. Originally from Nevada and North Dakota, Whitney instantly fell in love with Seattle when she moved here in 2007. Making sure clients walk out of the salon with expectations being exceeded while also having a fun and relaxing experience is the most important thing to her. Outside of work, Whitney spends time with her two daughters, boyfriend and dog.
Iris Brumer - Stylist
Iris Brumer recently joined Essence after a career of “in home” styling and is excited to be a member of a salon that brings the comforts of home to the pampering of a salon and spa. She trained at Greenwood Academy of Hair and has 10 years of experience in hair styling and cosmetology. She strives for excellence and creating hair styles for men, women, and children of all ages that they love at the salon and when they style their own hair at home. She enjoys styling and up-do’s for weddings and special occasions. She is experienced with all hair types, especially curly hair. Outside of work she is an accomplished artist, teacher and mother of two handsome adolescent boys.

Sara Cannon- Esthetician
Sara Cannon is a licensed esthetician. Originally from Alaska, Sara received her training at The Academy of Hair Design in Anchorage under the instruction of Rachel Bolivar. Sara loves to help clients look and feel their best in a comfortable, relaxing environment. Sara is also a classically trained vocalist currently double-majoring in Music Therapy and Vocal Performance at Seattle Pacific University and will graduate in the spring of 2014.
