BODYSHRED JILLIAN MICHAELS BODYSHREDâ„¢ is a high intensity and endurance based 30 minute workout. It is a fun, effective, 30-minute, high intensity, metabolic conditioning workout. It’s kinetic, it’s energetic; it provides the ultimate challenge, regardless of level. Utilizing Jillian's 3-2-1 interval approach to whole body circuit training (3 min. of strength, 2 min. of cardio, 1 min. of abs), BODYSHREDâ„¢ integrates all of the most progressive exercise science techniques used by world-class athletes into one program. Elite workout methods like HIIT, PHA, plyometrics, super-setting, combo lifting, 3-dimensional movement possibilities, functional bodyweight training and much more.

BOOT CAMP classes are a physical training program designed to build strength and fitness through a variety of intense intervals over a 1 hour period of time. Intervals can include but are not limited to dynamic stretching, running, lifting weights, pulling rubber TRX straps, pushups/sit-ups and plyometric activities. Sessions usually finish with yoga-type stretching.

 

Benefits: Boot camp classes help participants lose body fat, increase cardiovascular efficiency, increase strength, and help people get into a routine of regular exercise. . It has long been known that regular aerobic exercise can help to reduce high blood pressure, hypertension and combat stress while improving one’s mental health. Part of this is due to the release of endorphins, which act as a mood elevator. During the boot camp classes a sense of team and camaraderie is formed increasing the sense of accountability and competition.

CIRCUIT TRAINING is a form of body conditioning
or resistance training using a combination of high-intensity, low intensity and muscle endurance exercises. It targets strength building, cardiovascular and muscular stamina. An exercise "circuit" is the completion of a round of assigned exercises in the program. When the circuit is complete, participants begin the circuit for a second and third round. Circuits are designed for full body conditioning at the specific level of fitness for each participant.

 

Benefits: Circuit training has been shown to be the most time efficient way to enhance cardiovascular fitness and muscle endurance. Studies show that circuit training helps women to achieve their goals and maintain them longer than other forms of exercise or diet.

DANCERCIZE This high or low intensity dance-based cardio workout uses fun music and groovy body-shaping moves to bring upon transformation of your body, boost your mood and ignite your energy.  There are always modified movements and lower intensities provided for all fitness levels.

 

Benefits: The dancing will boost your metabolism and blast fat fast. Studies show that dancing can help us, stay flexible, and improve our balance and posture, while we remain flexible. Additionally it has been proven to reduce stress, raise our kinesthetic awareness and brighten our mood.

RUNNING is a form of exercise in which at regular points during the running cycle both feet are off the ground. This is in contrast to walking, where one foot is always in contact with the ground.  Running classes vary between speeds, ranging from jogging to sprinting. Different speeds and distances are appropriate for different individual health and fitness levels. For new runners, it takes time to get into shape. The key is consistency.

 

Benefits: Running helps with weight loss, improved cardiovascular and respiratory health, improved cardiovascular fitness, reduced total blood cholesterol, increase in metabolism, strengthening of bones (and potentially increased bone density). Like all forms of regular exercise running has been shown to strengthen immune system, improve self-esteem and can slow or reverse the effects of aging.

STEP AEROBICS is a form of aerobic workout distinguished from other types of aerobic exercise by its use of a step, specific to this format.  The height can be tailored to individual needs by inserting or removing risers under the step. 

 

Benefits: Step aerobics helps burn calories and fat. It also helps to reduce stress, promote restful sleep, strengthen muscles and gives the body a more streamline appearance. The number of calories burned depends on the speed of movements, step height, and length of exercise. Exercise sessions can create social connections with others, and as with other  low-impact aerobics is suitable for all ages, and ability.

TRX TRAINING Workout using the TRX Suspension Trainer. The TRX Suspension Trainer is the original, best-in-class workout system that leverages gravity and your bodyweight to perform hundreds of exercises. WEIGHT TRAINING classes use a weight to oppose the force generated by muscle through concentric or eccentric contraction to develop strength and larger skeletal muscles. Weight training targets specific muscle groups with specific exercises and types of movement.
